Hellie

Hellie has been an integral part of the Amsterdam DJ scene for years. She prefers to spin vinyl from the 1977-1982 era, but she also delves into today’s sound and recognises the importance of making music digitally accessible. Her sets form a brilliant bridge between old and new music, making you want nothing more than to dance.

Hellie is Chinese-American but mainly grew up in the east of The Netherlands. When she moved to Amsterdam in the mid-2000s, she quickly found her way into the local nightlife. She started promoting her own parties, Berry’s Paradise, and led the charge in addressing the question, “Where are all the women on the lineup?” Beyond her excellent track selection, she continues to advocate across the board for more diversity in the DJ booth. Dance together, celebrate together!
