San Cha’s artistic practice is heavily influenced by the DIY, punk, and queer scenes, with liberation as its guiding principle. Her work builds on community narratives, vivid dreamscapes, and cultural research. During this Friends Event, she once again takes you on a journey through a mix of high drama, mysticism, and social critique. Her inspiration often stems from the divine ecstasy of religious iconography and the exaggerated melodrama of 90s Mexican telenovelas.
