The historic Tonnenloods on Terschelling is being transformed from a workshop into a modern visitor centre. Until that transformation is complete, Oerol is taking over the space. This temporary museum presents film and multimedia projects that offer a unique perspective on Terschelling, the Wadden region, and 45 years of Oerol.
The experience center in the Tonnenloods will become an interactive meeting place where the nature and culture of Terschelling take center stage. With 360 degree projections and space for conferences this monument becomes the place where visitors discover the nature and culture of the Wadden Sea in the future. Oerol kicks off with a celebration of 45 years of Oerol. For the Tonnenloods take over program you need a time slot ticket. With this ticket you can visit all parts of the program continuously starting from your entry time. Tickets are also available for purchase at the door, subject to availability.
