Company Marte Boneschansker creates one-to-one experiential theatre based on documentary material. Armed with a microphone, the company develops intimate, physical audio works that exist somewhere between theatre and installation. From 4 to 7 March, theatre maker Marte Boneschansker will be in residence on Terschelling together with dramaturg Vincent Brons. For her new performance WIEG, she is looking for islanders who would like to take part in a conversation about loss, grief and the comfort offered by the landscape.
How do we support one another in times of loss? What traces of change or absence do you see in the landscape? And how can a place — in nature or at home — provide comfort?
Where and when
Marte will hold conversations of up to one hour in a quiet and comfortable location, for example in your home or at a meaningful place outdoors. The conversations will be recorded and may be used in the performance, which will premiere at Oerol in 2027 (a preview will be presented at this year’s festival). You will, of course, be able to listen back to anything before it is used.
