IN SITU launches PLATFORM for artists of site-specific art

Via Berlin – Act of Citizenship | Nichon Glerum

Would you like to develop yourself as an artist in making site-specific work? Then we have fantastic news from our international network, IN SITU. Starting in 2025, the new support program PLATFORM will launch. This program offers artists the opportunity to develop art on a European level in public spaces and unique locations.

Registration Open Call 2025

The registration for the first round of support opens on January 1, 2025. IN SITU will then select 60 emerging artists who work with sustainability in public spaces, both in their process and ideas. IN SITU supports the definition of green mobility by On The Move and pays attention to ecological impact. More information about the open call can be found via the button below.

Support in the development of artists

With the PLATFORM program, IN SITU aims to support 200 emerging artists. Until 2028, multiple rounds will be organized for 60 artists at a time. Additionally, an open online course (MOOC) is being developed, networking events are being set up, and other online tools are available.

Oerol is a co-founder of IN SITU, and we are proud to see the network continue to grow, attract new members, and remain a valuable resource for artists in this new phase. Over the past 20 years, many Dutch artists have found their way abroad through the network, such as Strijbos & van Rijswijk, Collectief Walden, Via Berlin, Emke Idema, and Johannes Bellinkx.

The IN SITU PLATFORM is a project co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the European Commission. More information can be found on the IN SITU website.
