Join Innofest’s tests and help entrepreneurs improve their innovation
Will you come and lend a hand? During the second weekend of Oerol, six entrepreneurs are testing their sustainable or social innovation together with you at De Deining. From a gender-neutral urinal to an AI waste bin that sorts waste by itself. As you give feedback or try out their innovation, they discover if it really works as expected, or if they need to go back to the drawing board.
We would love to give you a behind-the-scenes look at these tests. Will you join our innovation tour? The tour takes place on Sunday, 16th June. We will gather here at the Living Lab at 2:30 PM for the innovation tour. See you there?

Semilla Sanitation
At the beach, everyone can now use the urinal! The Peepal, a gender-neutral urinal by Semilla Sanitation, collects urine, which is later converted into agricultural resources and plant nutrients. Previously, Semilla Sanitation only used the contents of regular urinals, but thanks to the inclusive design of the Peepal, everyone can use it.
PLAEX
With Garby, you no longer have to wonder if a milk carton belongs in the paper waste. This smart trash can sorts collected waste itself, reducing residual waste by up to 70% and lowering the costs of waste collection by 68%.
Stick with Chloe
For people with (physical) disabilities, it is often unclear whether locations are sufficiently accessible, and this often applies to festivals. That’s why Chloé van Dalen is researching how festivals can be made more accessible for people with limited mobility or those who use a wheelchair.
Are you curious about Chloé’s research? She would love to talk to other visitors about their experiences regarding the accessibility of Oerol. Send an email to [email protected] and get in touch with Chloé! This way, you can help Chloé with her research to make festivals more accessible.
Holy Swap! Point
Looking for festival gear but prefer not to buy new? Have beautiful products you no longer use and want to make someone else happy? Come to the Holy Swap! Point. Here, you can exchange items for tokens, which you can use for something else fun, during Oerol or at other Holy Swap! events. Need something but have nothing to exchange? You can also buy tokens. Holy Swap! helps minimize the impact of your consumption, offering an alternative form of consumption that allows you to enjoy new items with minimal impact on the planet and your wallet.

Construction News
Do you have a compliment, question, or comment for the festival? Or would you like to stay informed about important updates as a local resident or visitor? Nieuws van de Bouw has the solution. They maintain a live blog where important updates are posted. Additionally, posters with QR codes are displayed around the festival site, allowing you to send a message to the festival in privacy.

Skik Analytics
Startup Skik Analytics aims to make festivals and events safer and more accessible through smart use of data. They are developing an app that can recommend personalized routes to avoid long queues or for people with limited mobility.
During Oerol, Skik Analytics is working with the interactive map of Oerol, developed by Wolfmaps. By tracking the movements of festivalgoers, they collect valuable information for further app development. Will you help?
