In April 2023, Sytse Schoustra passed away due to the effects of ALS. Sytse was the founder of the Friends of Oerol and was nationally known for his beautiful photos of Terschelling and his daily weather forecasts.
Oerol is helping to fulfill Sytse’s last wish and asks everyone to contribute to the research into this relentless disease. The proceeds will be brought to the Glass House by the family at the end of December, where actions are taking place this year for the ALS Netherlands Foundation.
